Louise Gray

Louise greys cat walk sported some energetic hair and makeup today. Not that it retracted away from the mix match of pattern and colour.
Although in my opinion had a much more structured feel to it than previous collections, and despite the hair you could easily wear these garments on the street and look adventurous but not out of place.

Hobbit house

A Swedish hotel.
It would be great to stay here, just to live like a hobbit for a day.

nature

Repinned from 'into the forest'

From home I am defiantly going to miss the forest the most. Well, apart from my friends and family.
But I am such a nature girl, it’s generally the place where I can clear my head and find inspiration by the gnarled rotting trees and the vast undergrowth. Although I do love London and the hecticness of it all, I do think I am going to have to venture out and find some woodland.

Alexander Wang

I love Alexander Wangs 2013 fall collection. The material appears to be stuck to the body which give the garment a very structured but soft look, reminding me of why I love minimalism so much, the simplest designs can look extraordinary.

The mad hatter

Marc Jacobs

As I have a tendency to love the over the top, and to be honest, the ridiculous...I have got to draw attention to Marc Jacobs winter collection and his amazingly big hats. Describing it himself as 'a chocolate sponge cupcake with a vanilla filling covered in pink marsh mellow and rolled in coconut', yummy. These have to be some of my favourite designs I have seen this summer and with this season coming, I will be coveting these warm headed girls.

work space

I'm a messy worker, it is one of my faults. I can’t seem to function unless the space around me is messy. Usually a subconscious thing, it’s probably a form of procrastination. But my favourite things is my wall, my mood board with no particular mood, it’s great for inspiration and reminds me of the great website Pinterest, the link is below if you haven’t got one, and see what you can find.

Fred Butler

I have loved Fred butlers work since I first saw the hat she made for lady Gaga’s ‘telephone’ video. She is an accessories designer and one of the most flamboyant ones at that. "I like how quirky accessories invite attention from strangers. We're usually so closed off from communication; hopefully I provide a talking point.”
Although her pieces may be difficult to wear on a day to day basis I do like seeing the lines blurred between fashion, sculpture and architecture. This is why I like Fred so much ,she is queen of the wearable sculpture, with a lot of fun and colour thrown in.

I am constantly inspired by nature and i love it when designers use naturalistic shapes within their work, whether it is conscious or not, nature is everything that we are and creates the most inspiring patterns. The carved white marble below reminds me of honey comb, which fascinates me as hexagons are used as they use the least surface area and therefore use the least material.
